Waterloo Region is MAKER REGION!

Hey folks, Ben here! I just wanted to say from all the MEEPs – THANK YOU!!

Despite a brief torrential downpour and construction closures, 7500 people descended upon Kitchener City Hall last Saturday to see, learn and do everything from fighting robots, knit-bombing, soldering, rocket launching, cardboard pirating, painting and SO MUCH MORE from our 100+ awesome exhibiting makers.

We’re in the process of decompressing from the expo and recapping with thoughts and ideas for next year! We’ve put together a very short survey to help gauge what worked well, and what we can improve on for 2016 – please take a couple minutes to send us your feedback using the link below (survey closes on Monday September 28th):

Thanks again for making Maker Expo a huge success, and for showing the world that WE ARE ALL MAKERS! I hope to see you all back next year, and bring your friends too! This is just the beginning.

Thank you Ben, Cam and Darin (and all the others involved) for such a well organized event!
We had a great time and audience at our tables.
Thank you MakeBright for the above picture which captures very well the “making spirit” that filled the City Hall building and surroundings during the event.

I’m looking forward for next year event!
We should bring MakerExpo to York Region also 🙂
